As an example if you have a dark room it is important to maximise the light and therefore a curtain that pulls back to clear the window or a blind that pulls up off the glass would be beneficial. However if the room is very dark and an artificial light is always needed then you would make it even cosier by painting the room a dark colour and putting gorgeous drapes on the window to give the room a beautiful ambience.

Drapes

There are so many styles and fabrics available and, along with the combination of pelmets, headings, poles, finials, leading edge trims/contrasts, tie backs and hold backs the final application can be unique to your style and very pleasing to the eye.

Drapes can also give your room visual elegance. They can frame the window beautifully whereas blinds usually only cover the glass and the architrave at most and therefore give a more streamlined or ‘cleaner’ look.
